Adding to the List of Toolkits and Libraries
There are a couple of questions to address. First, how are libraries listed here formatted when editing in TWiki? Second, what exactly do you link to?
Formatting the Entry
- Preceed every entry with an anchor on its own line, preceeding the library entry itself. The anchor should be a WikiWord; it will be used to link to the entry from other pages.
- If there is more than one major release of the library, and both are still in use and have significant differences in API, create and entry for each one. The anchor link should have the version number at the end, with no periods, like this JavaWebStart15 for Java Web Start, version 1.5. If there is only one version of the library in current use (and is recommended), then just link to that current release; the anchor doesn't need the version number in that case.
- Give the full name of the library as given in the hosting site.
-
Beware of WikiWords in the library name, such as JavaBeans. Use <nop> to bypass standard TWiki handling for these words.
- Make the full name a heading, level four(---++++ preceeding the name); this will include it in the page TOC.
-
Give the version number of the library you are linking to, as specified by the hosting site.
- Provide the link to the download page for the library.
- Provide the link to the main page introducing the library, if there is an overview and additional material.
- Do not link to the download itself, as this will likely change over time.
- You can add a note to the entry, in the bulleted list, if you think it will be helpful.
- To ease editing, add entries in alphabetical order by the anchor name.
If you are editing this page, you will see examples below.
