- Put up events page for upcoming Zen Conference
- Blog about making of, launching jMaki.com (send comments to Arun on what to blog about)
- Arun: Email Greg for access to add/remove sites on website
- Consider adding link back to java.net under Events ads
- Bring Eclipse experience up to par with that on NetBeans
- RC 3: documentation updates for users; update what is there, see what is missing
- Write a book (with online content)?
- FCS 1.1 release: control when things get included in page, improve performance/experience
- Work on corporate themes, stylesheets

- Came up Friday morning last week

- Site runs samples in PHP
- Set of blogs on making of jMaki.com idea
- Developed in NetBeans in Java, exported to PHP
- A2 Hosting
- $12/month with Static IP, support puts site back up within an hour
- Also host Ruby on Rails
- Have SHH, FTP
- Free PHP sites exist but with ads
- Rick: Site 5 is $6/month, 300 GB storage, Ruby on Rails support

New Release Highlights
- Charting
- Started in February/March
- Follows same model as everything else
- Now, there is proof of concept
- Looking for: more interactivity, better function, look and feel, such as slide back/forth...it is hard to load value.
- Norbert revamped menus and data models
- Tables, trees standardized, behavior specified
- Publish and Subscribe: now easy, simpler model for AJAX
- Debug off by default with last release
- Can now run jMaki on Caucho (PHP based)
- Hosts
- Many are PHP 4 (including Yahoo), some PHP 5
- Send feedback on anything broken with samples and site!
Roadmap
- Release this morning: 9.7.2
- RC 3 will be next week, August 29
- More command line support for building communications, samples
- Have NetBeans, Eclipse plug-ins
- Address users who do not do those
- ~ 8,000 total users; Eclipse slightly more users than NetBeans
- Experience is better on NetBeans; bring Eclipse up to par
- Samples run on BEA 9.2 and 10
- Grizzly sample does not work
- 5 tool kits (time consuming!)
- Licensing; must be careful
- Main reason Anissa uses jMaki charting
- Field is moving toward jMaki

- Filing bugs is very helpful
