Helios: Greek God Of The Sun. He sees everything that happens and is often called upon to shed light on events.
Welcome.
Helios is the starting point for an Open Source Performance Monitoring System. Our goal is to enable us to collect and aggregate data from anywhere and create consolidated visual dashboards that can correlate data from various heterogeneous peformance data sources.
See our main Helios Project Page.
We are implementing the following:
- JMX Based Resource Monitoring Server
- Support for Windows NT, Linux, Unix, SQL Databases and JMX Agents
- Extensible Monitoring Targets Through Customizable MBeans
- Extensible Plug-In Architecture To Handle Performance Data
- Persist Acquired Performance Data
- Maintain High, Low, Average for Acquired Data
- Aggregate, Cross-Reference or Derive New Data and Republish
- Generate Rich Content from Acquired Data
- Raise Alerts & Notifications Based On Configurable Threshholds
- Feed Events to Nagios
- Publish Data On JMS For Other Consumers
- Advanced Browser Based GUI to Provide Customizable Dashboards Displaying Live Stats in Graphs, Text or Tables.
- Generate Ad-Hoc or Canned Reports to Analyze System Perfomance and Availability Trends
