How can I log in to the admin console if I break the authentication config?

You may still be able to log in to the console even after the 'amadmin' username stops working. Try supply the fully-qualified admin username as written in serverconfig.xml (usually something like 'cn=dsameuser,ou=DSAME Users,dc=opensso,dc=java,dc=net') and the normal admin password.
