Education Management School information System
EMSIS aims to provides opportunities to improve the learning experience and to meet the challenge of today's ICT and Open source society!
Goals
The primary goal is to teach engineering students how to start, implement, and deploy an open source project.
The chosen project aim to implements a full "Educational Management School Information System" at the national level of a country. The study will be based on Lebanese Education Requirements.
The full Educational Management school information system. Is a distributed application implemented on all Lebanese (Or any other country) schools, connected to the Ministry of education data center.
The principals finals goals are:
- Students Managements (Registration, grading, follow up,...) and Indicators. More About student module
- Human resources Management (teachers, Other stuff,...) More about the staff module
- School Facility Management (Rooms, Stocks, Labs, ...) More about School facility Management module?
- Identity Manager (The identity management will be the basic repository of all the users of the system at a national level)
- Course Management System
- Time scheduling
- groupeware for learning
- Assets managment
Overview of the architecture and technologies
We aim by using Open Source and Agile flavor management, develop and implements a quality EMSIS based on Java and j2ee technologies without being constrained by any system or provider.
