The Source for Java Technology Collaboration

July 2004

CJAN update. With summer holidays and work commitments, things have been a little slower. Here are some of the highlights:

  • work continues on the CJAN APIs
  • work has started on JavaSysInfo and we are very fortunate to be able to jumpstart this using code authored by Benjamin Michotte. Nick Pinckernell has volunteered to be the project lead, with Benjamin taking a consultant role.
  • the JarUpload? facility sub-project progresses solwly

Previous update:

May 2004

CJAN update. We have made steady progress on CJAN over the last month. Here are some of the highlights:

  • work continues on the CJAN APIs (more below)
  • CJAN is now listed in the java.net projects directory as a linked project
  • CJAN blog is now syndicated with javablogs
  • we now have a wiki (user-editable) web site
  • we have documented some proposed workflows

We are getting to the stage where some of the components now provide enough functionality to allow us to start glueing things together. To this end, work has started on the CJAN file upload mechanism.
