CATfish Program - Community Adoption Team for GlassFish

Objective:

The goal of this program is to get active members involved in promoting the adoption of GlassFish. Participants are asked to test existing frameworks and applications starting with b42 of GlassFish and provide feedback on deployability, performance and stability. In return, those volunteers are given the opportunity to significantly influence the quality of the GlassFish server.

Program Members:

People participating in the program should have some experience with GlassFish and should be willing to contribute some time and effort. The time required is dependent on the number and complexity of frameworks and applications participants choose to test. Program members are also encouraged to drive cross-linking to the frameworks and applications sites. This means sending email to the site owners asking them to post a GlassFish button on their site and posting a link on the GlassFishExtra's page in return.

Benefits:

There are many benefits to participating in this program. The GlassFish team gives high priority to supporting the framework or application of the member's choice. Members who submit bugs during this program will have their bugs marked with a magic prefix that guarantees special attention from developers and quality engineers. The CATfish team can nominate up to 20 issues to the Bugboard. Issues on the Bugboard will be fixed/addressed in the next major dot release of GlassFish. Additionally, members can request new features for future releases also marked to receive special attention. And yes, there are some gifts ready for all active members, of course. Members of CATfish will also be highlighted on the GlassFish project as well as TheAquarium weblog. Your voice is important to us!
