My name is John Bobowicz, or just "jbob" to most people, and I am one of the founders of java.net
(a lot of people are taking credit for that these days).
I was also the original Community Manager for it's first two years before becoming the java.net CTO.
Most recently I was in Sun's CTO Office to work on advanced R&D projects involving next-generation
communities and grid-based online ecosystems.
I'm a senior technology director and CTO who works in the high-tech industry building online
communities and helping developers. My diverse experience spans 18 years and nothing is more
energizing and satisfying than bringing together people, ideas, and technologies in new and
innovative ways.
Objective: To work for a company that is as innovative and passionate as I am so that I can further
expand my unique combination of creative and analytical strengths into new areas.
Specialties: Java, Open Source, Online developer communities, and community building.

Prior to Sun, I have 10 years of IT management on Wall Street building and supporting
datacenters, trading floors, and development environments.
I am currently based out of Florida work out of my virtual office, known to many as "The Internet".
I specialize in online communities, product management and design, monetizing innovation, Open Source,
and, of course, Java.
My Interests:
I am on the board of the SIIA
Software Division and am a founding member of The Lighthouse Council.
