Eduardo Pelegri-Llopart's People Page
java.net id: pelegri
I am a Sun engineer, working mostly in the area of Web Services and XML. I have been involved in a number of efforts at Sun, from XEmacs and Development Environments in the DevPro group to distributed systems in the Spring project. I joined the Java core group in '95 and I have been having fun since then, working on many projects including Java RMI, JavaBeans 1.0, JavaHelp 1.0, JavaServer Pages (JSP) 1.0, 1.1, 1.2 and 2.0, the JSP standard tag library (JSTL). Most recently I've been focused on the JWSDP projects, which include JAXP, StAX, JAXB, JAX-RPC and Fast Infoset.
I'm active in the Java WS and XML community, the JWSDP community and I have a blog in Java.Net .
Bio Stuff
I was born in Barcelona and I grew up mostly in Caracas; I have two kids and speak only catalan to them; I can juggle some (career, family, and 4 balls or 3 pins); I enjoy teaching things to kids (juggling, AYSO coaching, school & church involvement), and my english can be idiosyncratic. I grew up playing tennis but I'm now trying to be a badminton player. My professional education was at Universidad Simón Bolívar, at UCB Berkeley and at CSL at Xerox PARC.
I hyphenate my two last names in the US, but the proper catalan name would be Eduard Pelegri i Llopart. In some places my name might also be listed as just Eduardo Pelegri.
