Bio:

Worked as a software designer, manager or architect within Nortel Networks for almost 12 years. My software runs in thousands of network elements around the world today.

Have been amazed/impressed with results from XML and Java techologies within my work, in a short amount of time. Can't see a future for software and internet development that does not include xml and java.

Born in Ireland - have worked and lived in three countries, settling in Ottawa, Canada - a peaceful, clean, beautiful, accessible, historic city with easy access to leafy forests, clean lakes and great hiking trails.

Spend my spare time parenting two little boys ( with patient and caring wife! ) Enjoy playing, and watching soccer. Playing the guitar ( my biggest addiction ).

Keenly playing with J2EE web services - in the early stages of developing a personal project that I'll unveil on my home website sometime next year.
