About me

I am an undergraduate student at the University of Applied Sciences Cologne and study MM Computer Sciences.

My favorite things of interest are digital Music and Video, and, of course, programming.

The first time I got in touch with Java was back in the mid-90s, when the Internet and WWW was on the verge to become the #1 media of information exchange.

At that time, the language of choice for webdevelopers was HTML - there were no dynamic programing languages for the web available - and Java was a new way to develop webcontent.

However, since I did not had t he means at hand nor the technical features to set up my own domain I forgot about about Java for the next five years and was messing around with C++ and C instead.

Then, in 2004, I decided to change my life completely and enrolled at the University to study MM Computer Science.

There, I was confronted with Java again - meanwhile, I already got my feet wet with some Java based Windows apps and discoverd that Sun has changed its view on licesing and public openion.

I thought that joining this great community and its projects would be interesting and a benefit for my studies and well, here I am.
