OpenPortal? Portal Server Project
This page is reserved for use by the Portal Server project. This project is a part of the OpenPortal Project?. The OpenPortal? Project consists of several subprojects that each produce portal-related technology. The Portal Server subproject is the project that brings together all of these technologies into a complete portal server product that is marketed by Sun Microsystems as the Sun Java System Portal Server.
The Portal Server project includes the software for the portal desktop, search, discussions, Secure Remote Access, Mobile Access, communities and community services, administration, configuration and management support, packaging, and the installer. It brings software in from other projects for the portlet container, WSRP, JSF portlet bridge, portlets, and other 3rd party components such as Xinha and JSP Wiki. Over time, we expect that some of the software that is currently in the Portal Server project will be migrated to separate projects so that the software can be more easily consumed by other projects.
