Benchmarking and Performance

This topic is a starting point for collecting information on performance issues and benchmarking for phoneME platforms.

GrinderBench is a benchmark by the EEMBC consortium. It is a set of well-designed application-level benchmarks that focus on VM-level performance measurements on CLDC and CDC platforms. The MIDP version adds a simple MIDP UI wrapper on top of the CLDC benchmark. Usage of the GrinderBench binary is free of charge (see the license terms on www.grinderbench.com). By obtaining a commercial GrinderBench license from EEMBC you also get access to the sources and support.
