The SwingLabs JDNC Project

IMPORTANT: Further development of JDNC is on-hold pending the stabilization and release of the SwingX and Databinding sub-projects of SwingLabs. Release 0.7 of JDNC is the latest stable release.

The Java Desktop Network Components project is building a small set of very high-level components that can be turned into applets or Web-started applications with little or no Java coding, and without the help of experts on elements of J2SE^? such as Swing, networking, or threading. The components can be use in traditional Java applications, or they can be combined using an XML-based description language. This latter approach has been refined to the point where examples of the common desktop application archetypes can be created with just a few lines of XML by a developer without any Java skills at all.
