Perhaps Sun would allow using the Java and OpenJDK branding to be used in conjunction with a shirt design?
Would anyone be interested in creating a logo out of from Duke -- which is now open sourced? Note that classically Duke has been notably not been gender identified.

to what degree should the emphasis be on engineers (hackers) vs. anyone connected with Java technology generally?
NOTE: OpenJDK an "Group" requires that each official "Member" sign the Sun Contributor Agreement. Being a Member would not be required for joining the mailing list, however.

Java Duchess http://www.jduchess.org/ Duchess is a networking group for female Java developers. We are based in the Netherlands, but every Java-coding girl can join.
