Questions asked when a new project is submitted to the Enterprise Community
- Do you intend to host and develop the source-code of this project on java.net?
- Comment: Projects not hosting their source code on java.net should consider submitting as a Linked Project.
- What license are you going to choose for this project?
- Comment: We will need you to choose the license before you submit the request.
- Is this project related to Java EE(J2EE?)?
- If so which Java EE(J2EE?) APIs does it use?
- How is it packaged? a jar, war, ear or a zip?
- Comment : It is okay to not know the answer to this. It is just meant to nudge submitters to think about this issue.
- Are there any platform specific considerations? Is this project portable among Java EE application servers?
- Comment : Developers can consider running AVK to help them determine portability
- Does this (or will it) run on the Java EE(J2EE?) SDK?
- Comment : Not a requirement but desirable.
- Is there a working release of the SW we can try?

On submitting a new project to the enterprise community, send an email with the answers to the questions to the above email address. If you do not, an Enterprise Community Leader will get in touch with you, and clarify the above questions. An email with the answers will help us approve your request faster.
Document assumes you have submitted a project for approval to the Enterprise Community. Please do not send us answers to the question, if you have not submitted a new project. We need a new project request to approve the project.
