Midlet

A Midlet is a Java application designed to run on Java enabled devices such as cell phones and PDAs. A Midlet is based on J2ME; it uses the CLDC configuration and the MIDP profile APIs.

Some of the java.net projects that involve midlets include the following:

* TastePhone: This is a midlet that enables users to test their Java phones. By using this midlet everyone can taste the performance of their phone : MIDP & CLDC version, processor speed, RAM size, flash size (RMS), screen capabilities and screen quality, optional APIs (WMA, MMAPI, ...).
